Electronic Transaction Authority

Your electronic transaction authority (ETA) is an agreement you enter into with Momentum that allows you to securely approve transactions using your email and cell phone instead of providing your signature.

Please read through the ETA terms and conditions below. By clicking “Accept” you confirm that you have read and understood the terms and conditions and that you agree to them.

Terms and conditions

  1. I confirm that I would like to transact electronically with Momentum Group Limited or nay of its subsidiaries, including its associates and joint ventures.
  2. I understand that all transactions will be done in line with the South African Electronic Communications Transaction Act.
  3. This electronic transaction authority (ETA) allows both parties, that is, Momentum Group Limited and me, to submit and process information electronically to conclude a transaction, and to communicate electronically.
  4. “Transaction” includes establishing a contract, making an application, reinstating a contract, making alterations to a contract, submitting a claim, or requesting services regarding a contract.
  5. By giving you my personal information details on this form, that is my identity number, email address, and cell phone number, I confirm that you will use it to:
    • verify my personal details, and
    • electronically confirm my transaction details with me.
  6. You will always treat the transaction details and requirements according to the formal terms and conditions to protect my interest, and yours.
  7. I agree that by giving you my transaction details I accept the transaction, except where either you or I communicate otherwise.
  8. I understand that you will always and only communicate sensitive or critical transactions to me in a secure manner and will require certain feedback from me before you release or act on this information. You will let me know of the required security measures, and this will, for example, require that I authorise certain transactions by responding to a message or a one-time PIN (OTP), as required. I will therefore provide you only with my personal contact details.
  9. I understand that I must update my contact details when they change.
  10. I may cancel this ETA by written notice to you, but this may impact the effectiveness of your further services to me, and you may set further requirements if I cancel this ETA.
