Shivaan matriculated at Star College Boys High in Durban in 2012 and had attained 10 Distinctions with an aggregate of 93%. In 2013, he started his studies of B.Bus Sci Majoring in Actuarial Science at the University of Cape Town. Four years later he started a business venture whereby he ran multiple Tuition Centres specialising in assisting students from Grade 8 till Matric as well as University students who were mathematics majors in Engineering and so forth. The Department of Education recognised his skill and thereafter partnered with him to run Voluntary Mathematics workshops at underprivileged schools in the Claremont and KwaMashu Townships surrounding Durban. During this time, he also completed the RE5 FAIS regulatory exam. In July 2017 he joined Momentum Financial Planning at the franchise BitRock Financial Services in Durban to pursue his passion and what he believes to be his purpose in life, namely to serve and guide people on their journey to Financial wellness.

Shivaan believes that he brings a sense of innovation and a completely different approach to bespoke financial planning. This, together with his technical expertise had enabled him to be one of the youngest planners in Momentum’s History to Qualify in the top 25 Financial Planners within Momentum, finishing in the Aquilo Platinum category at position 11th in the 2018 Financial year. He continues racking up the awards as he has attained the “Rising Star award of Momentum” as well as the “New to Industry Champion”.
