Whether your car was stolen, hijacked, broken into while you were away, or damaged in an accident, we’re here to help guide you through the claims process. We like to make sure our clients get the best experience which is why our claims experts will handle the claim from the get-go, and answer all your questions and concerns.

Reporting your claim

For hail and windscreen claims, you can enjoy end-to-end claim experience when using the Momentum app.

You can also use the app to initiate vehicle theft and accident claims, or report them telephonically. All claims must be reported as soon as possible and no later than 30 days from the date of the incident.

Call us and provide

  • Details of the incident.
  • Details of third party.
  • SAPS case number (Make sure to get this from the nearest police station where the incident took place, within 48hrs of the incident).
  • Licence details of incident driver.

Claims must be reported within 30 days.

What happens next?

  • We’ll update you via telephone, email, or SMS about timelines and details of any outstanding requirements.
  • Please note your assistance may be required in the validation of your claim.

Additional details and requirements

Take photos of the incident

We advise you to take as many photos of the incident as soon as possible from different angles, as it can be very beneficial in the validation process of the claim.

Details of third party

If a third party was involved, make sure to gather the following details: full names, contact details, ID number, insurance details (if applicable), and their vehicle details such as registration and VIN number.

Sketch and description

A sketch and description (download the pdf below) of the incident helps us to understand what happened, which assists in the claims process. Make sure to include the exact location, street names, all vehicles involved, road signs, and traffic lights.
