An economist at heart, Fifi obtained her BA degree in Economics & Journalism from Rhodes University in 2010.

Dumo Mbethe

Dumo Mbethe, CEO of Momentum Corporate, is a chartered accountant and business leader with 20 years of financial services experience. He is a Harvard Business School alumnus, having completed its Advanced Management Programme (AMP) and has held senior leadership positions at Momentum Metropolitan since 2017. With an extensive board background within Momentum Metropolitan Africa, he currently serves as a non-executive director for Metropolitan International Holdings and the Metropolitan Internal Support Board of Directors. Dumo is passionate about the role employee benefits can play in improving the lives of ordinary South Africans.
Dr Elmarie Coetzee
EXECUTIVE: HUMAN CAPITAL, MOMENTUM CORPORATE
Dr Elmarie Coetzee is the Divisional Executive: Human Capital at Momentum Corporate, responsible for aligning people strategy with the company's strategic focus areas. With 30 years of experience, including 10 years of clinical work and psychotherapy, Elmarie has expertise in individual, team, and organisational effectiveness, talent management, culture integration, leadership development, management consulting, and strategy implementation. Elmarie also holds a PhD in leadership, performance, and change, with a focus on coaching as a systemic leadership strategy. She is passionate about the multiple opportunities that exist in organisations to create a unique employee experience that fosters a sense of connection and engagement among people.
Sello Mmakau
CHIEF INFORMATION AND DIGITAL OFFICER, MOMENTUM CORPORATE
Sello Mmakau is a visionary IT leader with over 20 years of experience in a variety of industries, including petroleum, health, telecoms, transportation, aviation, financial and non-financial services. He has held senior leadership positions at several companies, including Afrocentric Health Group, Afrocentric Technologies, ACSA, FSCA, Department of Home Affairs, Department of Health, and Sasol. Sello was voted South African Visionary CIO of the Year 2012 by ITTPSA, Gartner, GIBS, and IT peers.
Rigitté van Zyl
EXECUTIVE: FAW & GROUP INSURANCE, MOMENTUM CORPORATE
Rigitté van Zyl leads Momentum Corporate's FundsAtWork and Group Insurance teams, leveraging her 14 years of actuarial experience and expertise in pricing, product development, new initiatives, solution integration, and client value propositions. She has held various roles at Momentum since she was a bursary holder during her student days at the University of Stellenbosch; this includes roles in Momentum EB, Momentum Health, and Momentum Africa. She previously served as Chief Client Officer at Sanlam Corporate, focusing on customer value propositions, client experience strategy, and marketing.
Nashalin Portrag
HEAD: FUNDSATWORK & DISTRIBUTION, MOMENTUM CORPORATE
Nashalin Portrag serves as the Head of FundsAtWork and Distribution at Momentum Corporate, drawing on a decade of actuarial experience. He possesses expertise in product development, pricing, reporting, CVP, behavioral analytics, technical marketing, distribution, and cross-business unit collaboration. During his time at Momentum Corporate, Nashalin has fulfilled roles in product and pricing while closely collaborating with intermediaries as a marketing actuary. In addition to his corporate work, Nashalin is actively engaged in actuarial education, with involvement at the University of Pretoria, the University of Cape Town, and the Actuarial Society of South Africa.
Talita Jacobs
HEAD OF DATA ANALYTICS AND INSIGHTS, MOMENTUM CORPORATE
Talita Jacobs, a qualified actuary, currently leads Momentum Corporate's Data Analytics and Insights team, a role she has held for three years. With over 17 years of experience as a consulting actuary in employee benefits, she has held leadership positions at Absa Consultants and Actuaries, as well as Deloitte. In the past year, Talita served as the project lead in developing a digital employee benefit solution for Momentum Corporate. Her passion lies in extracting insights from data and pushing boundaries to create innovative and effective solutions.
Dr Miriam Altman
DIRECTOR, ALTMAN ADVISORY
Dr Miriam Altman is a leading economist, strategist, and thought leader. She is a passionate communicator with extensive experience in economic policy research and corporate transformation. Altman is the lead drafter of South Africa's National Infrastructure Plan 2050. She has also served as a Commissioner on the National Planning Commission and Chief of Strategy and Regulatory Affairs for the Telkom Group. Altman has authored over 100 publications and is a professor of 4IR Practice at the University of Johannesburg.
