Momentum Health was crowned as the Product Supplier of the Year in the Health category at the recent Financial Intermediaries (FIA) awards. This is a remarkable success for Momentum Health as these awards are completely independent and are driven by recommendations from over 12 000 advisers in Southern Africa who regularly interact with the products they sell.

The 2017 edition of the awards were extremely important for Momentum as they were nominated in four of the 10 categories at the awards, namely Short Term Insurer of the Year - Personal Lines, Long Term Insurer of the Year - Risk, Product Supplier of the Year - Employee Benefits and Product Supplier of the Year – Healthcare.

“We are very pleased to have been recognised by the financial advisers who are the engine of the industry,” said Damian McHugh, Head of Marketing at Momentum Health.

“At Momentum, we recognise the integral role that advice plays in the Financial Wellness of our clients. This accolade confirms that we are making strides in our client-centric strategy and we will continue to strive for excellence and innovation in our engagement with our stakeholders,” McHugh added.

Momentum Health prides itself on giving its customers the freedom to create their own scheme options. With set policies as well as with unique options that include giving customers the independence to rake up savings in the form of a HealthSaver account and cash-back rewards with HealthReturns – there’s none like it in the industry.

With a purpose to enhance the Financial Wellness of individuals, families and businesses, the recognition received at the FIA awards represents an acknowledgement of the renewed focus the company has to cement Momentum as a client-centric and innovative service provider that is able to meet the needs of the clients they service.

The importance of these awards is further bolstered by the fact that the intermediaries who take part in the survey rate their experience of product suppliers on product quality, service quality, relationship quality and overall satisfaction which solidifies Momentum’s purpose.

In addition to having increased its membership to nearly 150 000, Momentum Health recently received a higher-than-industry score by the South African Customer Satisfaction index (SACsi) for its members’ overall satisfaction with the medical aid and its ability to meet its members’ expectations.

To join the medical aid scheme that advisers are proud to recommend to their customers…
